Dan Fayock is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of Arconic Corporation. In this role, Dan oversees all areas of legal, ethics, compliance and government affairs for the company and is its corporate secretary. He is a member of the Arconic Executive Leadership Team and provides counsel to Arconic’s executives and Board of Directors.
Dan has more than 20 years of experience in providing strategic legal counsel to public and private companies, including in the areas of corporate governance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, disputes, risk management, compliance and regulatory matters.
Dan has served in several senior legal positions over the past 15 years with PPG Industries, most recently as PPG’s Assistant General Counsel and Secretary, where he was a senior leader of PPG’s Law and Compliance Department with a broad range of responsibilities, including advising the company’s Board of Directors and executive team, guiding the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies, and serving as counsel to members of senior management and various businesses on legal and strategic issues.
Additionally, Dan has handled complex commercial legal issues and risk mitigation efforts, quality issues, antitrust and other regulatory matters. He has coordinated and overseen legal support in the areas of IP, marketing, labor and employment, bankruptcy, real estate, compliance, litigation, environmental, health and safety, product stewardship and trade compliance. He has extensive experience structuring complex commercial arrangements and has completed numerous acquisitions, divestitures and joint venture transactions. Dan also served for more than a decade as the Secretary to the PPG Foundation, providing legal guidance to the Foundation Board.
Prior to joining PPG, Dan was a senior attorney with Allegheny Energy after starting his legal career as a corporate associate with K&L Gates.
Dan graduated from Duquesne University School of Law and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Washington & Jefferson College.
